Girl gang-raped in northwest Delhi, one held   

 

NEW DELHI: A 16-year-old girl was allegedly held hostage inside a flat and gang-raped by five men, including a juvenile, in Aman Vihar area of northwest Delhi. The incident took place on Tuesday night and the police have arrested one of the accused, an officer said. He was identified as Monu, 24.

"The cops are looking for four of his friends who have been identified as Rehan, Gaurav, Rahul and a juvenile, who are absconding at present. Raids are being conducted to nab them," a cop said.

The minor girl alleged that she was going to a local market in the evening when Monu, who lives

in a rented accommodation in the area, took her to his flat on some pretext. Two of his friends, Rehan and Gaurav, were already present there.

The girl said that when they began to misbehave with her and she protested, they beat her up, stripped her and took turns to rape her. Soon, two others arrived and raped her too, she alleged in her complaint. The men then allowed her to leave but not before threatening her with dire consequences if sh

e complained to anyone.

Scared, the girl kept to herself that day but finally broke down and narrated the incident to her family members. Her mother informed the girl's father who approached the police. She was taken to Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital for medical examination which confirmed rape.

 Indian men have become demons and have started literally behaving like wolves- hunting and devouring their prey in pack like fashion. These perverts should realize that they have women in their own homes and what calamity would befall if they fall prey to other men- god forbid. We are becoming a hypocritical nation where we worship the woman in form of many goddesses while behaving outrageously with them. The moral fabric of the country is fast falling apart and it is incumbent on us to restore a feeling of safety and security amongst our womenfolk as I believe our politicians are busy only in politics and pay only lip service to vital issues.
